Wedding Updo

Here's a close-up of my hair from the previous post. My little sister did it all-- so grateful for her! She's finishing up cosmetology school this year and has always been a whiz with hair. She usually does my hair and make-up whenever I have somewhere special to go (cause I definitely have no idea how to do it on my own!).

First, she waved my hair with a 2 inch curling iron. Next, she did a waterfall braid on each side and finished it up my pinning all of it into a circular bun that leans more to the left. A little hairspray and you've got yourself an updo!

My dear friends Ira & Taylor tied the knot yesterday, so a big congratulations is in order! This was my outfit for their adorable purple and yellow themed wedding.

This dress has six (yes, SIX!) layers of pure fluffiness and was a steal at only $19.99. It was fun, flirty, and was kind of like an adult version of a tutu. Hey, kids can't have all the fun!

Wearing: dress from Ross, Sam Edelman flats, H&M clutch

Moving Weekend

We did our big move to Berkeley this past weekend with the moving truck and all that jazz. Special thanks to Eddie, Andy, and Kiki for all the manpower help! We definitely needed it. We moved furniture, followed some Ikea directions, and ate... and ate.. and ate.. and ate. Totally forgot to take pictures of the whole moving process (Doi!), but I did remember to take pictures of the food thanks to the foodie inside of me.

Breakfast from King Pin Donuts:

Lunch at Looney's (where we also watched the depressing soccer game):

Dinner at Manpuku:

Dessert from Cream, which is pretty much Berkeley's version of Diddy Riese, but ten times better:

cream

Repeat for three days. Oh Berkeley, I hope you don't turn me into a rhino.

NoteTrunk

As you may or may not know, I'm moving in my with my DB in a couple of weeks and part of the fun of moving out is being able to get a new address stamp! I've had this favorited in my Etsy for a while, but never had a reason to order one until now. It arrived last week and it's just about as perfect as ever.

It came wrapped in a printed linen bag, which makes it perfect for gifting.

Sorry, had to blur out the address.

NoteTrunk has a lot of cute designs. It took me 3 days just to narrow it down to this bunting one. You can count on lots of snail mail from me when I move (especially since I'm also semi-obsessed with stamps).
