I found this fun mermaid skirt on the sale rack at F21. 8 bucks for the win! It pays off to look through sale racks every once in a while (which I do daily).

As for the purse, I'm usually an anti-Coach person. Actually, I'm REALLY an anti-Coach person, but I found this way in the back of my mom's closet and it must be from at least 15 years ago. It's the perfect size, the perfect across-the-shoulder bag, and the perfect color... How could I resist? My mom never used it so she gave it to me. The purse had a Coach tag on it, but I took it off and sold it on Ebay. Now, there's no signs of what brand it is. Perfect!

Wearing: Victorias Secret tank, Forever 21 necklace, vintage Coach bag, & Steve Madden sandals.

Wishful Wednesday: Chanel Handbags

chanel

  1. Walk of Fame Flap
  2. 2.55 Reissue with Mademoiselle Clasp
  3. GST (Grand Shopper Tote)
  4. Half Moon WOC
  5. Cerf
  6. 2.55 Jumbo in Caviar Leather
I would live and breathe Chanel if I could. When I was sixteen, I saved my entire summer's worth of paychecks from my first job just to buy my first Chanel bag. I marched over to the Chanel on Rodeo Drive with my best friend, pointed to the black cambon tote that I lusted over all year, and put it on my debit card like it was nobody's business. The salesperson must've thought I was one crazy child. Not that she cared, I'm sure she got a nice chunk of commission from little ol' me. It was totally worth it then and in hindsight, still worth it now.

To me, Chanel is more of a brand... it's an investment. It's timeless and will last you (& even your great great grandkids!) for years if properly taken care of. Their vintage pieces still hold value and you can even resell it for more than what you bought it for if you do it right.

These Chanel pieces pictured above are the six bags that I would choose (and don't yet have) if I could only have six bags for the rest of my life. Now please excuse me while I go drool over these lovelies.

I wore this outfit to one of my niece's parties. The weather was confusing because it was supposed to rain, but it ended up being nearly 75 degrees and sunny. Good thing my outfit was versatile; I took off my sweater and I was set since I had a dress on underneath.

As for the boots, I got them for a steal from F21. They were supposed to be 33 bucks, but it just so happened that the boots in my size were marked as $16.90. Weird.. I took them up to the register and even though they rung up as 33, they had to give them to be for $16! I love when that happens.

Wishful Wednesday: Alexander Wang

Screen shot 2011-02-28 at 7.56.06 PM
  1. Alexander Wang Deconstructed suede biker jacket :: $1125
  2. T by Alexander Wang Knittted cotton sweater :: $180
  3. Alexander Wang - AW4C1 wayfarer sunglasses (matte black) :: $350
  4. Livia ankle boots Alexander Wang :: $855
  5. Alexander Wang Lapel-pocketed leather shorts :: $550
  6. Alexander Wang Kirsten multi-strap suede tote :: $945
Alexander Wang has to be one of my favorite designers. His clothes are edgy, comfortable, and simple at the same time. If I could have an entire wardrobe with only one brand, it'd be Alexander Wang, hands down.

His color palette is also very neutral. If it's not black, then it's a cream or off-white color, which makes it perfect for every day wear. I'll blend every piece into my closet, thank you very much.
