What about that snow in Southern California this past weekend? I'll admit-- I was walking to my car after work and when the little flakes of snow started falling on my suit, I was jumping for joy. Snow just doesn't happen where I live.. it just doesn't.

I didn't wear this outfit out in the crazy rain/snow; it's much too cold for that! Although, I'm sure the boots would've kept me warm and toasty.

One of my favorite brands has to be Current Elliott. This vest has that wonderful "worn-in" feeling and is buttery soft. They just know how to do denim. End of story.

Wearing: Current Elliott denim vest, Love Culture dress, Target knee high socks, & Forever 21 boots.

Scribbling with Orla Kiely

IMG_2355

I was in need of a purse-sized notebook in order to scribble all my thoughts on-the-go in. A little searching and I came across a brand that I just fell in love with. Orla Kiely. Their designs are simple and fun at the same time! A burst of color here, a little design there, it's just perfect. Not only do they make paper goods, but they're also in the clothing, houseware, and accessory business!

I loved the phrase that was imprinted on the back of the notebook. Despite how many electronic gadgets I may have, I always resort back to the good ol' pen and paper to keep track of things.

All the pages were perforated, a plus for tearing out pages to give to others.

A vellum divider separated the lined, graph, and blank pages from one another.

And a cute little bookmark came as a bonus! Given that it's merely a piece of paper with a punch out that a three year old can do, it's still nice.

You can buy it online here.

I recently just booked my trip with the DB to Hawaii in early June and I've got bikinis on my mind! Not that I don't have enough already (over 40 and counting!)... I just love bathing suits. I bought at least ten last year during Victoria's Secret semi annual sale, but couldn't wear any of them because of my appendicitis. I had to stay out of the sun in order to minimize scarring. Doctor's orders!

I'm making up for it this year by fully utilizing every new bikini I bought. But that doesn't mean I can't buy anymore... right? ;) I'm OBSESSED with the Miu Miu and Juicy Couture bathing suit shown above. I'm trying to justify buying either one, but I just can't make it happen at the moment.

What I'm looking for this year in a bathing suit: ruffles, ruffles, ruffles! and I really want a high waisted bikini. Bringing back the vintage style, just like #7!

This was my Valentine's outfit... for work! I was working the event, so I didn't have to wear my bottle suit for once. Although there are many advantages of wearing a uniform, I was sure glad to get out of mine. It's like people at work don't even recognize me anymore without my stewardess outfit.

I love the simplicity of black and white together. Not to mention it's oh-so-chanel (except on a budget, of course)!

These shoes are actually borrowed from my mom. I was asking my mom what shoes I should wear and she bolted to the garage saying, "I have shoes! They're comfortable and they're totally not 'mom' shoes!" Haha, she's so cute. Sure enough, they were comfortable and cute! Thanks mom!

Wearing: Zara blazer, random dress from the Rose Bowl swap meet, Forever 21 headband, H&M tights, B Makowsky shoes.

Wishful Wednesday: Pop of Turquoise

Welcome to Polyvore!
  1. Large Turquoise Patent YSL Clutch :: $475
  2. Pour La Victoire Illiana Quilted Platform Pumps :: $250
  3. Lover Muse Lace Dress :: $935
  4. Helmut Lang Drape Neck Leather Jacket :: $1325
  5. YSL Turquoise Ring :: $295 AUD
I thought it'd be fun to put together a list of items that I'm currently lusting over. I'll do it every Wednesday and call it Wishful Wednesday! Right now, spring is on my mind with subtle hues and a splash of color (particularly turquoise).

Yves Saint Laurent makes one jewelry item every season that I fall head over heels for. This time, it's the gold ring that comes in many different colored stones. It's been on my wish list for a while, but on my wish list it will remain! I'm saving every penny to furnish my soon to be apartment with the DB.
